“Is she . . . ?” I trailed off.
“No,” Jasper shook his head, knowing I was asking about Maria. “We . . . made a truce, I guess. I didn’t want to kill her. I don’t know why. I should’ve just finished her off . . . but I couldn’t.” I smiled a little, even though it ached to do so. Jasper was becoming more and more of a Cullen each and every day, though I was upset that he didn’t get his revenge with Maria. At least we were both safe.

ReplyDeleteNo, just kidding :P I can see why Alice would be upset that Maria got away. But I always think that Jasper wouldn't want to kill Maria.. unless she like, kills Alice or something.
