Emma is NOT a blogger...yet

I need to blog more. I really do. I'll try. I'll honestly try, but with my schedule for now, things aren't looking too good. Here's what's going to happen soon, along with a couple of announcements:

* I am entering the 'A Christmas to Remember' contest, with a one shot featuring our favorite couple, Alice and Jasper. Here's the work-in-progress summary along: Jasper hates the holidays because he has no family to spend it with. He runs into Alice Christmas Eve and learns the true meaning of Christmas with this care-free girl and her terrible past.
Excerpt of that: All the women he turned down . . . they were with their families for this evening, celebrating their joy and love for each other. His friends were out of town, visiting their newly acquainted families and announcing their engagement. As for his family . . . well, he hadn’t heard from them in years. Jasper had all their contact information, but was afraid to call them.

When he had left, it had been a screaming fit, and he was still too guilty to apologize. His parents had called, but he would press ‘ignore’ on his phone. His little sister would email him, invite him to all her events (which he’d attend, but hidden in the back), but he never replied. He wouldn’t even accept their ‘friend invites’ on ‘Facebook’.

* I have become obsessed with Peter. Remember Jasper's friend, Peter? Well, I'm role-playing him on a forum on FFnet, but that’s beside the point. He’s going to appear in a couple one-shots I’m preparing. One practice one, just getting the feel for his character. That one will be about the time when he told Charlotte to run before Jasper would kill her. The next one has not been fully planned but will feature some lovely Jasper/Peter brotherly bonding! Aww, that will be cute, haha.

* I am also willing to be a beta if you need some of your work edited! But, if you don't trust me, you should go check out lipstickletter on FFnet! She's an amazing beta and real dedicated to her work. Thank you, darling, for beta-ing my story!

* HUNGER GAMES! I've entered this challenge called the 100 Themes Challenge, but haven't been able to write because of NaNoWriMo this November. But I will continue those now!!

* Musings of an Empathetic Vampire will hopefully be updated quicker, but I've got to start writing new chapters again. I am editing my novel and entering a big Scholastic writing contest (if you want to enter, go here: www.scholastic.com/artandwriting/howeneter.asp I believe it's only for US residents, but I could be mistaken!) so I have a lot to do, as well as write all these other things I've mentioned! Hopefully I'll blog more, I'll just have to add it to my day planner, lol. xD Thanks for reading, and happy belated Thanksgiving/early holidays!

Sneak Peek at a new one shot

Sorry I haven't posted in a while! I'm very busy with writing everything possible, haha, and school in general. Um, I also kind of forgot about this blog. xD Sorry about that. Um, here's a teaser to my new one shot. It's a request for cookies.

I wheeled around to have her mouth collide with against mine. She kissed my still mouth for only three seconds before pulling away.

“Jasper, please don’t be like this,” she whimpered, her golden eyes begging me for forgiveness.

Very angsty, but I promise that it will end in fluff--I'd never kill the Jalice love.

Thanks for reading,
Emma

Serenity Chapter 13 Sneak Peek

I haven't been on here in while. Sorry, guys, I've been busy. Here's the next sneak peek:
“Is she . . . ?” I trailed off.

“No,” Jasper shook his head, knowing I was asking about Maria. “We . . . made a truce, I guess. I didn’t want to kill her. I don’t know why. I should’ve just finished her off . . . but I couldn’t.” I smiled a little, even though it ached to do so. Jasper was becoming more and more of a Cullen each and every day, though I was upset that he didn’t get his revenge with Maria. At least we were both safe.

Serenity Ch. 11 Sneak Peek

Here it is!
I heard with my sensitive hearing Jasper attack a human. My face fell. How could I be so careless to try to be playful when Peter and Charlotte were going to hunt a human? I sucked down the rest of my deer’s blood before flitting over to where Jasper was standing, staring at his bloody hands in horror. Tremors ran throughout his body. Peter and Charlotte were glancing from me to Jasper and back again. I sighed.

“Not again,” I choked out and Jasper’s eyes flashed to meet mine, bright red and full of agony and misery.

I'll send the chapter in for validation tomorrow.

Sneak Peek of Request

So, here's a sneak peek to a new request I got from WildWriter85. He asked me to do a one-shot where Kate and Garrett have a chat with Alice and Jasper. Here ya go:
Kate looked down at her feet, uncomfortable. I looked at Garrett, but he seemed to not want to make eye contact. Alice and I exchanged worried glances.

"Oh!" Alice said, trying to take us away from the awkward silence. "Kate, Jasper and I have finished painting and setting up our bedroom. You have to see it! We got the cutest curtains..."

She continued talking as she dragged Kate down the hallway and to our room.

"Garrett," what's going on?" I asked and Garrett looked up at me. A strand of his brown hair escaped his ponytail and fell in front of his face as he smiled gravely.
It's untitled for now. I'd ask you guys for help, but you don't know what's wrong with Garrett so...I should stop rubbing it in your face, haha. Okay, are you excited for this one? I absolutely adore Kate and Garrett. they're probably the only things that kept me reading when Jasper and Alice left in Breaking Dawn.

Ideas of What to Come

Here are some ideas of what stories I am working on right now:
Contest entry for the Freaky Friday Contest
Alice and Jasper talking to Garrett and Kate.
A fanfiction dealing with all human A/J and lines.
Jasper/Bella friendship.
Jasper jealous again (different reason, though).
Lauren crushing on Jasper.
Jasper's first hunt with Emmett and Carlisle.
Edward/Alice brother and sister bonding.
The sequel to 'Serenity'.
They will probably come out in that order.

Sneak Peek Chapter 10 Serenity

Love: a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person; a feeling which I was not familiar with; a feeling I was afraid of. Alice had respected that I had . . . issues with affection because of my past and didn’t make our relationship very physical. She squeezed my hand as we walked around the new town. She had seen another vision of where the Cullens were and had a feeling that we really would meet them this time. I was doubtful, though, and I wasn’t really sure that we would ever meet the Cullens. They were like searching for a needle in a hay stack, except someone keeps deciding whether or not they want to keep the needle inside the hay.

That's is Jasper's POV, if you couldn't guess, haha.

Requests

As some of you may know, I am now taking requests. Here are the rules:

Must be K-T rating

No Edward/Bella

Prefferably the Cullen couples

Will do friendships between non-couple pairings.

Have a nice day! ~Emma

Cell Phone

I'm getting a new cell phone in a couple of weeks so that was my inspiration for a short little one-shot I created. I really hate technology . . . besides my laptop because I need that for my art and writing stuff. I just hate cell phones and all that stuff. I really don't do much texting unless my friends bug me in texts and I don't call people much. In this one-shot, Jasper isn't very friendly with technology and Alice gets him a cell phone. I figured that he wouldn't like how the world has changed from the 19th century seeing as he grew up then. I don't like it much, either. Well, here's a sneak peek:

"I still don't see why I really have to get a cell phone," Jasper sighed as he opened the small box.

"We're in the twenty-first century now, Jazz," Alice said, taking the box from his hand and grabbed the cell phone, setting it up so he could use it. Jasper watched her with interest as she did multiple things to the small phone to get it ready. He really didn't understand the necessity of the small little object, but Alice had insisted he buy one.

"There," Alice sighed and handed Jasper the blue phone. Jasper studied the screen. It looked just like a normal household phone, except smaller. It also opened on the side to reveal a tiny keyboard.

Serenity Is Finally Finished

I just wanted to say that I am overjoyed with how much love my most recent story, Serenity, and I have gotten. Everyone who reviewed just made me smile wider and wider. Thank you guys so much for all your support and wonderful reviews and comments. I hate goodbyes, and finishing this story seems like a huge one. But, like dear old Dr. Seuss once said, "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened". I shall try to hold that to my heart as I dry my tears. I get so emotional over things. I shall post a quick sneak peek of my next story soon. Maybe today or tomorrow. Thank you so much for even reading my story.
